The Huachuca City Thunder Program consists of young athletes in and around the Cochise Country area. We are members of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). This is the program's fifth season.The program consists of boy’s 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th grade, and junior varsity. This year we had have an enormous interest in our program from athletes all over the area, and we are proud to provide an outlet for young athletes to compete in a structured, safe, and reliable program. We participate in Tucson Leagues or tournaments. We travel to Phoenix over the summer, and this year we are hoping to go to Las Vegas. Our director and head coach Efrain Galvez is a Tombstone High alumni of the class of 2011. Efrain’s purpose behind Huachuca City Thunder has always been much more than basketball, he focuses on helping each player grow on and off the court. Efrain does this through being an outstanding role model, teaching that character matters and encouraging them to be people of integrity.
