Welcome to the KMHA Parents’ Corner. This section is designed to make it easy for parents to find the information they need throughout the hockey season. Here you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions. Our goal is to provide families with clear, up-to-date information so you can spend less time searching and more time supporting your player and enjoying the game.
New to minor hockey? We’ve got you covered!
House League is a great place to start. There are no tryouts, teams are balanced, and players enjoy two or more ice times each week with a focus on having fun, building skills, and making new friends.
For players looking for an extra challenge, Rep (competitive) teams are formed through tryouts and offer more games, travel, and higher-level competition. See our Jr Flyers Program for more details.
At the U7 and U9 levels, hockey is all about learning through play, with small-area games, plenty of puck touches, and lots of smiles and laughter. No experience is needed, and falling down is just part of the fun while learning something new!
