Welcome! The Birmingham Thunderbolts, LLC is a 501-C3 non-profit entity based in Irondale, AL. We were formed in 2005 for the sole purpose of providing the youth in our area the opportunity to compete in travel softbal on a national level. 

Our players are from all parts of the country. We are a dedicated group of players, coaches and families. We have a private, two field softball complex with Field Turf surfaces, a third private practice field comprised of a traditional clay infield and bermuda grass outfield, and a 13,000 SF private indoor training facility.

We are always looking for talented players from good families to join our program. If you are interested in learning more about our program, please fill out a Player Registration Form on our website.

Complex Information: 2 fields with 100% FieldTurf surfaces and 200-foot fences. Unless it's raining at the time of the game, then we will play on time. Fields drain up 18-inches of rain per hour.  For more info go to www.fieldturf.com  We have plenty of parking, handicap accessible bathrooms and concessions.  You are welcome to bring your cooler.     

COMPLEX RULES: 
Shea Brothers Softball Complex is a privately owned, premier fastpitch softball facility.  The Thunderbolts enjoy hosting visitors for tournaments and friendlies.  We respectfully request that all visitors observe the complex rules.  We do not allow pets, tobacco products, gum, sunflower seeds, peanuts, bikes, skateboards, scooters, wall-ballers, etc. on the property.  The Clubhouse and upstairs balcony are reserved for invited guests only.  Children are not allowed in these areas without a parent's direct supervision.  Players and coaches are the only ones permitted on the fields.  Steel cleats are not allowed without prior approval.  For safety and security purposes, parents must not allow small children to roam unsupervised.   All vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.  Any vehicles parked disorderly, in no parking areas, against yellow curbs or in reserved spaces will be towed without warning and at the owner's expense.  Thunderbolts coaches, parents and players are responsible for enforcement of complex rules and cleanup during and after all events.  Anyone found in violation of complex rules will be removed from the property.  Please help keep our park clean because it is here for your enjoyment.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.  We look forward to seeing you at the park.
