About the B League

In the world of USA Hockey and Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), the teams with ‘recreational’ players are referred to as “B” teams or Tier III hockey teams. Selected teams have “A” or “AA” designations.

The B-League has been formed to honor and respect the B player, and support their local associations as they teach all that the sport of hockey offers:  Respect, discipline, skill sets, community social awareness, competition, and improved self-confidence.

The schedulers for the following associations are on the board of the new league, aptly named: B-League.

Midland Amateur Hockey League (MAHL – Midland), Greater Saginaw Amateur Hockey Association (GSAHA – Saginaw), and Bay County Hockey Association (BCHA – Bay County) are the core group to put together the new B-League, its by-laws, policies and price structure. B-League then invited Mt Pleasant, Gladwin and SCHA, Tawas hockey associations to join.
