2015 NC/SC Baseball League Board Meeting

Attendance:  President-Greg Allen  VP-Dennis Kent   Irish-Dale Albrecht  Hurricanes-Dale Benson  Pirates-Sammy Flowers  Rangers-Stephen Ward  Crush-Eric Roberts  Rage-Rick King  Brewers-Dan Hashey  Cyclones-Dennis Campbell

 

1) Discussed league make-up NC and SC divisions. Dean Kent over seeing the SC division.

 

2) Update on where teams stand on players and outlook for players by the beginning of the season.

 

3) Field options- still waiting on word for opening day. Gave out tentative schedules and drew #'s to fill out schedule.

 

4) Budget- Tentative budget team fees remain the same.

 

5) Sponsors- Sponsorship remains $250 for webpage advertising.

 

6) Teams at 4 NC  4 SC.  No more expansion until discussed by the league.

 

7) League dues- $1000 deposit due 3/1/15 and balance die 4/1/15. Get money in ASAP.

 

8) Using NC umpires only.

 

9) Rules: changes- a)players must play a minimum of 6 games for the team he plays in the playoffs for.b)pitchers may not wear white or gray sleeves on pitching arm.c)catchers must run until 2 outs then must use courtesy runnerd)forfeits may make teams ineligible for playoffs

 

10) Dan Hashey discussed the pelican game tickets. NC teams will have 50 and SC 75. Selling tickets to the April 11th and July 15th Pelican games.

 

11) Discussed All-Star game- Winning team manager will be all star manager. He picks 1 pitcher from each team and each team picks 4 players to represent their team.
